Show Notes

Sea vegetables (aka “seaweeds”) have a long use throughout history. Most people think of kelp, dulse, nori and kombu when they think about sea vegetables. But, this food group also includes the powerful superfoods spirulina, chlorella, blue-green algae and Irish moss (to name a few).

On today’s show John Koveos, founder of Quantum Nutrition and formulator for Schninoussa Sea Vegetables, gives us a full run down of these foods. After surviving a near-fatal car crash and being bed-ridden for months on end; John started formulating his own Superfood products to heal himself. He was successful. These formulations eventually turned into a product line. The rest, as they say, is history.

We talk about historical use, how they’re grown and cultivated, their nutrient profiles and of course, their health benefits
