Show Notes

Shamanic medicine is the oldest model of ‘medicine’ known to us. Until recently, it was only accessible to those willing to travel to places like Peru, Brazil or Siberia and ‘seek out their Shaman’. My guest today, Ruda Iande, has been a Shaman in Brazil for 25 years and gives us a first-hand account of what shamanic medicine is, where it comes from and where it’s going.

We spend a good deal of time talking about what the intention is behind shamanic medicine, the difference between new-age practices and Shamanic medicine and the incorporation of plant medicines such as Ayahuasca. Ruda also gives us his sobering insightful perspectives on negative emotions and our ‘dark sides’; and how we should be embracing and befriending them instead of trying to shut them down.

Lastly, we talk about Ruda’s program, Out the Box, which brings Shamanic medicine onto the online platform. You can view the program here: https://ideapod.com/outofthebox
